First Genes, LLC, a woman owned, North Carolina based company, is a forensic genetic genealogy and investigative consulting firm providing services to Law Enforcement Agencies.  We work one on one with our clients from submission to conclusion. First Genes, LLC combines years of expertise in the field of forensic genealogy and cold case consulting with extensive expertise in the legal and  law enforcement communities.

 

Forensic Genetic Genealogy (FGG) or Forensic Genealogy (FG), couples DNA genetic analysis with the investigation of publicly available genealogy information to identify suspects or victims in criminal investigations and to identify unidentified remains.

 

Forensic Genealogy has been used to provide leads/suspects in over 300 cold cases that have enabled Law Enforcement to make arrests in the past 2 years.

 

Forensic Genealogy is currently being successfully used to identify John and Jane Does.
